A product’s carbon footprint refers to the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated from the production, use, and disposal of that product. It is an indicator of the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to the production of the final product, its use, and eventual disposal. The carbon footprint of a product is usually expressed in units of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) and takes into account all GHG emissions associated with the product, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), among others.

ISO 14064-1 provides a globally recognized framework for organizations to quantify and report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The standard sets out the principles, requirements, and guidelines for the accurate and consistent measurement and reporting of GHG emissions,and helps organizations to improve their sustainability performance and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

The training course for lead verifier and lead auditor based on ISO ISO 14064-3, ISO 14065, and 14066 is a comprehensive and in-depth program that provides participants with a thorough understanding of the principles and requirements of these international standards for greenhouse gas (GHG) statements verification and validation. The course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills required to effectively plan, implement, GHG statements verification and validation in accordance with these international standards.
